Responsibilities and Services


The Finance Department is responsible for the fiscal management, processing, and maintenance of all of the City’s accounting transactions. The Finance Department works with the Administration Department and other department heads to prepare the annual operating and capital improvement budgets.


The Finance Department’s duties include:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Administration of special assessments
  • Bonding
  • Capital expenditures
  • Cash receipts
  • Financial statements
  • Fixed assets
  • Insurance
  • Investment programs
  • Payroll
  • Setting accounting policies and procedures
