According to the National Household Transportation Survey, nearly half of all the places we go are within 3 miles of where we live. In Rosemount that means just about any destination in town (the movies, library, school, Downtown, or the grocery store) is within an easy bike ride or walk from your front door. Rosemount strives to be a community where choosing to bicycle or walk is a safe, convenient, and enjoyable recreation and transportation option for everyone. In 2011, the League of American Bicyclists recognized Rosemount as an Honorable Mention Bicycle Friendly Community.
